Urgent Sales Manager Replacement – Plastic Injection Molding
A leading regional injection molder needed to replace it’s senior sales person following a serious personal accident. The two owners of Pereles Bros., Inc. interviewed and vetted Chess Barbatelli, familiar to them as a former competitor. Chess committed to a full-time position knowing they were looking to sell and retire.
In one year’s time, Chess signed four new major production customers in such diverse industries as liquid flow measurement and control, hydraulic and fluid lubrication management, and office furniture mechanisms. Further, relations with key customers were rehabilitated and their sales grown, allowing the owners to attract a buyer.
These efforts also included sourcing better materials pricing, researching and testing advanced engineering resins, and reducing tooling costs by finding new moldmakers domestically and in Asia.
